With the holidays coming to an end and the long cold months of winter ahead, the only thing brightening up my day is a good highlight. I recently got a few products from Stila and I have not stopped using them since I got them. I am by no means an expert at makeup but I love to play around with it and experiment with different products. Lately I have been obsessing over highlighting and contouring, and if the highlight isn’t glaring off my face then it’s not enough – am I right ladies!?
This highlight palette I have definitely been getting some good use out of. My favourite of the three colours is the nude pink, because I find it suits my skin tone best. I like to add a few layers because like I said I love when my highlight is glowing off of my face. The Transcendence (middle colour) is also gorgeous and I find it provides a really nice warming glow to the skin. The 3rd colour Golden Glow I think would work best on my pasty skin with a good tan, so I can’t wait to test it out in the summer months!
Eye Shadow Palette
Next up is the eye shadow palette ‘eyes are the window – soul’ which is a gorgeous combination of browns, golds, and nudes. I’m usually not extreme with my eye shadow when I do wear it, and you would rarely see me with brighter colours on so this palette is perfect for me. I put a few of my favourites on my arm for a general idea of the shades on a pale skin tone, and they are gorgeous! I love a subtle shimmer and more than a few of these shades have just that. The colours are pretty pigmented so with a little bit of eye primer you’re all set for gorgeous lasting eye colour.
Matte Liquid Lipsticks
Lastly and most definitely not least I got two of the stay all day matte liquid lipsticks and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. These lipsticks are seriously gorgeous shades and they were very long lasting. Every time I wear the colour Baci I get so many compliments, because it’s the most beautiful subtle pinky-purple shade. The second colour I got is Patina which is a darker redish-pink. Calling all Kylie Jenner fans – I heard that Patina is an amazing dupe for Posie K, so if you’re having trouble getting your hands on one of her lip kits there are some other great options!
What I love most about this liquid lipstick is the fact that it actually does stay for a really long period of time without smudging. I think I went about 4 hours without feeling the need to re-apply a little bit. The formula is amazing and it doesn’t dry on your lips, but keeps them moisturized with barely any transfer while eating or drinking. I’ve never felt the need to use a lip liner with this product because the brush applicator is actually pretty precise and the product stays in place.
If you’re looking for a few new pieces to add to your makeup collection I would definitely recommend the liquid lipsticks. I will definitely be picking up a few new shades, and I currently have my eye on Caramello because I’m on the hunt for the perfect nude lip!
