Packing Tips: Toiletries
Isn’t it one of the most annoying things in the world to forget an essential while traveling? We’ve all been there, so here are my packing tips – toiletry edition.
The Permanent Travel Bag
I like to keep a toiletry bag packed and ready to go permanently. When I don’t need it I just keep it stowed away under the bathroom sink, but when I do it’s a hassle free time saver. Setting up your permanent toiletry bag is a one-time job that makes your life so much easier in the long run. It’s perfect if you are headed somewhere for just one night, or even 10 nights.
All you need to do is take a trip to Wal-Mart or your Drugstore and stock up on your everyday essentials, pack them up into a toiletry bag, and then store it all together until you need it! I used to dread going places for just one night because the hassle of packing and unpacking all the little things was so annoying. If you have your permanent bag it saves the hassle every single time, and you know you aren’t forgetting anything. The only cost is setting it up the first time around, but after that you are set for a long time.
Here’s what I keep in mine:
- Hair Elastics
- Bobby Pins
- Lip Chap
- Hair Brush
- Head Band ( for washing my face )
These core items live in my permanent toiletry bag, and I’ll grab it anytime I’m spending the night somewhere. Camping, vacation, work trips, weekend getaways… you name it and I’m ready!
