Todays review is all about the NUME white truffle hair care set I recently got, and I was really excited to try it out. My hair has taken a beating with all the bleaching and dying I’ve done to it, so I’m always eager to try different products and see which ones work best with my hair. My hair is pretty dry so I always want a product that will hydrate my hair and keep it from drying out more.
The set is free of paraben, and paraffin, which are added chemicals some beauty products contain. I try to be more cautious of the products I use on my hair now because it is damaged, so that was a plus for me. I also love how the products are just plain white in colour so they wont tint my ashy blonde hair. If you wanted to test the collection you can use the promo code HAIRSTYLE49 to get the whole collection for just $49.
The first products that I tried were the shampoo and conditioner.
I only wash my hair twice a week so I often use dry shampoo in between. I found when I first tried to shampoo my hair it didn’t lather up very well, so I gave my hair a really good rinse and then applied more shampoo a second time. The second time I applied the shampoo it lathered really well and I didn’t have to apply as much. I’m not usually a lather, rinse, and repeater but I found this shampoo it was definitely beneficial to do that.
The conditioner was good — similar to other conditioners I’ve used in the past, and I applied a generous amount so it would really soak into my hair. Usually I’ll let my conditioner sit in my hair for a couple minutes and then rinse it out.
Next up is the leave in moisturizer and the hair mask. I have never really used a leave in moisturizer so this was exciting for me to try. I applied a small amount to my hair and mostly focused on my ends. I didn’t want to apply it up by my roots incase it made my hair look dirty quicker. I applied it to my hair while it was damp and then let it air dry. I really liked the results of the leave in moisturizer; it made my hair soft, smooth, and helped flatten out the fly aways.
On the bottle of the hair mask it says to leave it in your hair for 5-10 minutes but I always leave it in for longer. I’ll wash and condition my hair like normal then apply the mask to damp hair. I left in on for about 25-30 minutes because I wanted a deep condition, and then I rinsed it out under cooler water. My hair did feel really soft after, and it’s supposed to repair damages and strengthen up your hair.
Lastly, the hair serum! This is by far my favourite product from the white truffle collection. I apply this to my hair after it’s fully dry, and I usually use a small amount (about the size of a dime). I find that this just brings life into my hair, and makes it feel hydrated, and extremely soft. I would definitely recommend the serum to anyone who has dry or damaged hair.
