Outfit 1 – Patio Party Inspired
Outfit 2 – Afternoon BBQ Inspired
This post is all about the approaching patio season, and some outfit inspiration to go along with it. I put together two different looks for those BBQ and patio parties. The first outfit I chose is a matching skirt and top combination and it’s little dressier, but so comfortable and perfect for a patio cocktail party. This season I’m obsessing over blush pink, so a matching set was a must. I think this skirt and top set is the perfect outfit that you can transition from a day to night look. By adding a fedora I find it makes the outfit a little more casual, and to make it dressier you could add a statement necklace, or earrings.
The second outfit I put together is more casual but still really put together, so perfect for hitting up a BBQ. I love a great flowing top (especially when I’m going to be eating and drinking haha) and I find this top so feminine and flattering! The details are gorgeous, and there’s even a small opening at the back. I think white pants are definitely a staple for a spring and summer wardrobe, so I paired my high low tunic with a pair of ripped white denim. Ripped denim just makes an outfit feel more casual and adds a subtle detail.
There is literally nothing better than spring and summer in Ottawa. Finally after a frigid winter, people start leaving their houses and actually enjoying the outdoors again. BBQ and patio season is my favourite time of the year, and I love just being able to sit outside and enjoy a drink. This year I’m so excited to be going to Eat, Drink, Spring which is the spring edition of the Ottawa Wine and Food Show. The spring event is a little bit different than the fall one, so I’m really excited to check out some of the activities and season inspired food and beverages. There’s going to be live entertainment, BBQ workshops, and even patio decor and gardening tips from experts. I always find it really fun attending local events, and trying out different things. I think I’m most excited to taste some of the spring and summer cocktails, and hopefully I’ll be able to recreate them just as well at home haha!
If you’re from Ottawa or in the Ottawa area on May 13-14 the event is at Festival Plaza (110 Laurier Avenue) & if you want to know more check out the link below:
